This review is from: CHAUVET Line Dancer LED (Electronics)
I had originally bought this light along with some of the other Chauvet LED lights (Comet LED, Vue 4.1, LX-5, Derby-X) and an Eliminator Electro Storm here on Amazon to outfit a new mobile DJ set-up. Well, this light easily blew all the others away, so much so that I had to set it up apart from the other lights and place it by itself instead of on the tripod lighting stands the other lights went on. The Line Dancer casts a huge spread of criss-crossing lines that fill an entire dancefloor. The spread is so massive, the line patterns will easily extend beyond the floors and onto the walls of a 25'x25' room. With fog, the super-bright multi-color wave (beams) emitting from the light will compare to a powerful laser. You basically see a massive tunnel of startlingly bright multi-color light coming from this unit when viewed through fog. I actually got to try this unit out placed about 20 feet high above the dancefloor in a large warehouse nightclub, one of the most well-known in Los Angeles. It was positioned centered above the DJ, and WOW, I could not believe it but the zig-zagging line patterns filled the ENTIRE dancefloor of this massive club and was actually so bright, it was almost too bright an effect for the real deep house music played at the club, making all the patrons awash in light, creating almost too much of a bright "bar" effect that didn't go with the darker "true danceclub" nature of the venue. The club's light guy actually turned off the light because it was so distracting when run alongside the club's already impressive array of existing lasers and intellibeams and pinspots. I was blown away by how much coverage you get from this one light. So the only caveat I have for you is that this light might actually be limited in where you can use it because it is TOO powerful.
